Due to heavy rainfall, the water flow in the upper reaches of the Han River has rapidly increased. At 12:00 on September 19, the inflow flow of Danjiangkou Reservoir reached 15,000 cubic meters per second, forming the "Hanjiang No. 2 flood of 2025" in the upper reaches of the Han River. In recent days, the Yangtze River Commission has closely monitored changes in rainfall in the basin, consistently holding rolling consultations and judgments, and refining deployment for a new round of strong rainfall prevention and response work. According to hydrological and meteorological forecasts, there will be two significant precipitation events in the Han River basin in the next 10 days. From September 19 to 23, there will be moderate to heavy rainfall in the upper reaches of the Han River, and from September 25 to 26, there will be light to moderate rainfall in the middle and lower reaches of the Han River. As a result, the upper reaches of the Han River will experience a continuous rise in water levels, and some tributaries in the relevant areas may experience floods exceeding the alarm level.
