Ministry of Water Resources: China will usher in a new round of heavy rainfall, and some small and medium-sized rivers may experience floods exceeding the warning level.

Affected by both cold and warm air, it is expected that in the next 3 days, there will be heavy to torrential rain in the western and northern parts of Chongqing, as well as the eastern and southern parts of Sichuan and the southern part of Shaanxi. Some areas may experience short-term heavy rainfall. This heavy rainfall process is wide in range and intense, mainly affecting mountainous areas where the rainfall overlaps with the previous rain areas. As a result, the main rivers in the upstream of the Yangtze River and its tributaries such as the Minjiang River, Tuojiang River, Jialing River, and Han River will experience significant rises in water levels. Some small and medium-sized rivers in the areas of heavy rainfall may experience floods above the warning level.
