Ministry of Commerce: Play a strong policy "combination punch" to promote high-quality development of service consumption.
This afternoon, the State Council Information Office held a press conference, and relevant officials stated that a series of policy documents will be introduced to promote high-quality development of the accommodation industry, integration of railways and tourism development, forming a policy "combination punch" to promote high-quality development of service consumption. An official from the Ministry of Commerce said they will support local innovative and diversified service consumption scenes, cultivate integrated consumption scenes such as "tourism +", "food +", "sports +", and "performing arts +", and promote the integrated development of commerce, tourism, culture, and sports.
By combining various local service consumption scenes, several innovative service consumption scene cases with broad influence, strong social attributes, and novel creativity will be released in batches. They will guide local areas in organizing innovative and distinctive activities such as food fairs, tourism seasons, exhibition seasons, elderly care months, and fashion weeks to actively cultivate service consumption hotspots. The Ministry of Commerce will also work on improving the construction of convenient living circles in cities within a 15-minute radius, adding diversified services to create quality living circles that are livable, suitable for work, travel, and shopping, and suitable for the elderly and children. They will accelerate the cultivation and construction of international consumption center cities to create a globally attractive consumption environment.
With the goal of ensuring consumer confidence, the Ministry of Commerce will strengthen service quality monitoring and evaluation, carry out service quality commitment activities, and enhance the construction of credit systems in areas such as household services. They will improve standards in the service consumption sector to enhance industry standardization and normalization levels.
