Li Ka-chi: Accelerate the scale development of unmanned driving automation in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced a new policy address in the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region today. Lam stated that the government had established a regulatory framework for autonomous vehicles last year. This year, three regions will be designated for testing, with the goal of enabling autonomous vehicles to travel between districts and connect with other forms of transportation. This aims to accelerate the development of autonomous driving in Hong Kong, achieve commercial operation as soon as possible, and promote the industry to expand overseas markets, especially in right-hand drive car markets using Hong Kong as a platform.
