The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, delivered a new policy address today at the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Lam stated that there will be continuous optimization of the "cross-border payment system" to expand the application scenarios related to people's livelihoods. The government of the Special Administrative Region will optimize the distribution of cash assistance next year, and elderly beneficiaries in Guangdong and Fujian provinces can choose to have the government directly transfer the funds to their designated bank accounts on the mainland.
