Former president of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Henan Branch, Xu Jie, has been expelled from the party.
After investigation, Xu Jie betrayed his original mission and lost his party discipline and principles by resisting organizational review. He ignored the spirit of the Central Committee's eight-point regulations, accepting gifts, cash, invitations to events that could affect the fair execution of official duties, and participating in activities that could influence the fair execution of official duties, such as banquets, travel, and entertainment arranged by others. He illegally entered private club-like venues, had others pay for expenses that should have been paid by himself, illegally organized or participated in entertainment activities paid for by public funds, misused government vehicles, and exceeded travel standards. He ignored organizational principles, did not truthfully report personal matters, did not truthfully explain issues when questioned by the organization, and sought benefits for others in the recruitment and job adjustment of cadres and workers. He had no integrity bottom line, illegally borrowed money from management and service objects. He did not fulfill his responsibility for comprehensive and strict party governance, illegally intervened and interfered in bank branch leasing, procurement business, and internal accountability work. He did not cultivate personal morals and instead pursued base interests. His personal desires expanded, leading him to use his power to accumulate wealth, provide assistance to related businesses and individuals in loan approvals, employee recruitment, and receive large amounts of money and property in return.
