In September 2020, China Construction Bank Limited issued RMB 65 billion of Tier 2 capital bonds in the national interbank bond market. According to the relevant provisions of the prospectus for this bond issuance, the issuer has the right to redeem the bonds. The Bank has the right to fully redeem the bonds on the last day of the 5th interest calculation year of this bond issue (September 14, 2025). Recently, the Bank has obtained a letter of no objection from the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission regarding the redemption of this bond. As of the date of this announcement, the Bank has exercised its redemption right and fully redeemed this bond.
