The second largest supermarket chain in the UK, J Sainsbury Plc, has terminated negotiations with JD.com to sell its Argos business to the Chinese company. The company claims that the terms and commitments offered by JD.com are not aligned with the "best interests" of shareholders and broader stakeholders. Just a day earlier, the company had stated that JD.com could drive growth for Argos.
