Bangladeshi people believe that the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative will help boost Bangladesh's economic and social development.

The "Belt and Road" Initiative exhibition in Bangladesh was held in the capital Dhaka from the 12th to the 13th of 2025. During the exhibition, government officials, experts, scholars, and business representatives from both China and Bangladesh highly praised the achievements of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative in Bangladesh, believing that there is huge potential for cooperation between the two sides. The exhibition was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh and hosted by the Bangladeshi-Chinese Enterprises Association, with 43 companies from China and Bangladesh participating in various fields such as infrastructure, electric power, finance, and technology. Through holding theme forums and other activities, the exhibition showcased the achievements of cooperation in building the "Belt and Road" Initiative in Bangladesh. Patwari, the vice president of the Midland Bank of Bangladesh, expressed that as a financial link, banks play a role as a "financial engine" in promoting the connection between Chinese-funded enterprises and local enterprises in Bangladesh. She looks forward to further deepening financial cooperation, facilitating bilateral investment, expanding cooperation in infrastructure, manufacturing, and other fields, and creating more development opportunities for enterprises from both Bangladesh and China. Mirana, the assistant secretary of the Economic Relations Bureau of the Bangladeshi Ministry of Finance, stated that the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative has not only greatly promoted the development of Bangladesh in the fields of energy, transportation, water resource management, and urban infrastructure but also expanded opportunities for cultural and educational exchanges, promoting the building of talents in Bangladesh. Sobur, the assistant secretary of the Electricity Bureau of the Ministry of Electricity, Energy, and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh, said that energy is an important area of cooperation between Bangladesh and China under the "Belt and Road" Initiative, and Bangladesh welcomes Chinese investment in energy and renewable energy sectors to share development opportunities. "The joint construction of the 'Belt and Road' Initiative has brought significant impetus to the development of Bangladesh." Basher, a business advisor from Bangladesh, said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition that besides infrastructure construction, China also actively helps Bangladesh expand its export potential diversification, promoting exports of agricultural products, and so on. Yao Wen, the Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh, stated that China's global governance initiatives and cooperation in the "Belt and Road" Initiative both adhere to the principles of consultation, construction, and sharing, with the goal of building a community with a shared future for humanity. China is willing to continue to work with Bangladesh to build a high-quality "Belt and Road," continuously achieve new results in bilateral cooperation, and benefit the people of both countries.
