Jiangsu Semiconductor Association: U.S. analog chips sold to China at a dumping rate as high as 300%

On September 13, the Ministry of Commerce announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on imported analog chips from the United States. According to the application submitted by the Semiconductor Industry Association of Jiangsu Province, the related American manufacturers include four companies, namely Texas Instruments, ADI, Broadcom, and ON Semiconductor. The preliminary evidence submitted by the Semiconductor Industry Association of Jiangsu Province shows that during the investigation period, the prices of the imported products from the United States continued to decrease significantly, with the dumping margin for exports to China exceeding 300%. The market share of the investigated products in China averaged 41% annually. In terms of absolute import volume, the total import quantity of the investigated products has been steadily increasing, with a total of 11.59 billion chips, 12.99 billion chips, and 15.90 billion chips imported in the years 2022 to 2024 respectively.
