Engineer Giorgio Balestrieri, responsible for Tesla's European energy trading algorithm, posted on LinkedIn that after working at Tesla for eight years, he decided to resign because he believes that Musk has caused great harm to Tesla's mission (and the health of democratic institutions in multiple countries). In his post, he stated that this is not just a matter of political stance, but also involves lying to the public, manipulating public opinion, targeting minority groups, and the political power of alliances with climate change skeptics and the oil and gas industry.
