Apple Inc. announced that the high blood pressure detection system of its smartwatch has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and will be launched next week. This feature will be available in 150 countries and regions and will analyze the user's blood vessel response to heart rate within 30 days using data from the optical heart rate sensor of the Apple Watch. The tool will be available on Apple Watch Series 9, 10, 11, Ultra Thin 2, and Ultra Thin 3, and was developed through advanced machine learning and training data collected from over 100,000 participants in several studies.
