Apple Inc. announced that its smartwatch's high blood pressure detection system has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and will be launched next week. This feature will be rolled out in 150 countries and regions, and will analyze users' blood vessel response to heartbeats within 30 days using data from the optical heart rate sensor on the Apple Watch. The tool will be available on Apple Watch Series 9, 10, 11, Ultra Thin 2, and Ultra Thin 3, developed through advanced machine learning and training data collected from over 100,000 participants in several studies.
