Analysts say that the ultra-thin iPhone Air could possibly be a design victory for Apple.
On Tuesday local time, Apple CEO Tim Cook seemed to be learning from his predecessor and design genius Steve Jobs when unveiling the iPhone Air. This is the thinnest phone Apple has ever released, and also the biggest change in Apple's product line in eight years. Fans and analysts have complained about Apple's product line being stagnant. Cook quoted Jobs' famous saying at the annual product launch event held at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California: "For us, design is not just what it looks like or feels like. Design is how it works." Within its 5.6 mm thin frame, the circuitry of the iPhone Air has been reduced to the size of a few postage stamps, clearing the way for a larger battery capacity. Before the start of the event, many analysts had predicted a lackluster reception for the new product launch, but on Tuesday, some analysts indicated that the lineup of the new iPhone models - iPhone Air, iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max - may attract consumers with different budgets.
