Gansu Nenghua: Water seepage accident at Wangjiashan Coal Mine No. 1, resulting in three fatalities.

Gansu Energy Chemicals announced that on May 19, 2025, there was a sudden water inrush accident at the No. 1 well of Wangjiashan Coal Mine, a subsidiary of Gansu Jingmei Energy Co., Ltd., resulting in three workers going missing, and unfortunately, after rescue efforts, they were found dead. Following the accident, production at the No. 1 well of Wangjiashan Coal Mine has been suspended for rectification. The mine produced 733,800 tons of coal products in 2024, accounting for 3.85% of the company's coal production, with a revenue of 246 million yuan, representing 2.56% of the company's total revenue. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, and post-accident and related work is being carried out in an orderly manner. The company's other units are operating normally, and this accident has not had a significant adverse impact on the company's operations.
