Cui Dongshu: By the end of April 2025, the national passenger car industry inventory will be 3.5 million vehicles.

Secretary-General of the Association, Cui Dongshu, stated in an article that by the end of April 2025, the national inventory of passenger vehicles reached 3.5 million, an increase of 150,000 compared to the previous month and 120,000 compared to April 2024, showing a continuous upward trend in industry inventory for 2025. The current policies have brought overall optimism to manufacturers, with production levels higher after the Spring Festival and manufacturers being relatively active in wholesale. Inventory in the industry has been replenished and reached a peak at the end of April, a trend that is expected to decline as sales gradually move into the seasonal slow period from May to July. Based on the estimated inventory at the end of April 2025 and future sales, there is an inventory support of 57 days, slightly larger than the 55 days in April 2023 and 52 days in April 2024, indicating a slight increase in overall inventory pressure at the end of April this year.
