At the press conference held by the State Council Information Office today, the relevant person in charge of the National Bureau of Statistics stated that, from the current situation, although the international environment is complex and severe, the strong underlying fundamentals of China's economy have not changed, and there are favorable conditions for sustained economic recovery. The spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics, Fu Linghui, stated that the economic recovery is solid. From the main indicators, market sales closely related to the domestic market and the service industry are continuing to stabilize and improve. From January to April, total retail sales of consumer goods and the production index of the service industry increased by 4.7% and 5.9% respectively, both accelerating by 0.1 percentage point compared to the period from January to March. Since the beginning of this year, more proactive macroeconomic policies have been implemented, with greater policy support.
