Qingdao 5G-A integrated network to create "low-altitude Didi"
Recently, reporters visited the front line and learned that Qingdao Mobile, in conjunction with the Laoshan District Big Data Bureau, is exploring a cutting-edge 5G-A integrated sensing demonstration area in Laoshan District, deploying the largest scale of 5G-A base station equipment in East China. By integrating multiple platforms for low-altitude supervision, a total of more than 16,000 operations have been carried out, with a total flight time of more than 3,400 hours, a flight distance of approximately 53,000 kilometers. It has achieved full automation of drone flight, making drone use as simple as "hailing a ride with Didi." This is the first large-scale 5G-A integrated wireless network in East China, building a network that integrates communication, perception, and computing power to provide continuous coverage in low-altitude airspace. It can sense the airspace below 300 meters and has completed pilot applications for drone detection, electronic fence invasion alarms, and drone flight path tracking.
