Third Point adjusted its positions in the seven tech giants in the United States: it cleared its positions in Tesla and Meta, reduced its holdings in Meta and Amazon, and increased its holdings in Nvidia.
Daniel Loeb's hedge fund Third Point liquidated all of its holdings in electric car manufacturer Tesla and social media giant Meta Platforms Inc. in the first quarter, and also reduced its holdings in Amazon by over 1 million shares to a total of 2.35 million shares. However, the hedge fund increased its stake in AI chip maker Nvidia, and added positions in Apollo, Pacific Gas & Electric, U.S. Steel, and AT&T. The top five holdings in its portfolio are Pacific Gas & Electric, Amazon, Taiwan Semiconductor ADR, Live Nation, and Telephone & Data in that order.
