The American cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase stated on Thursday that the company had been hacked and customer data was stolen. The hackers demanded 20 million US dollars to prevent the disclosure of the data. Coinbase said the hacker's request was made on Monday. The company stated in a release that the hacker's goal was to collect a list of customers they could contact while pretending to be Coinbase to deceive customers into handing over cryptocurrency. The company refused the hacker's ransom of 20 million US dollars. Coinbase also stated that it will compensate customers who were deceived into transferring money to the attackers. The compensation amount could be between 180 million and 400 million US dollars. Coinbase (COIN.O) fell 5% in midday trading.

China's self-manufactured, mega-sized car roll-on/roll-off ship "Anji Ansheng" set sail on its maiden voyage on the evening of the 15th, carrying 7000 Chinese-made cars from Shanghai to Europe.
