Qatar signs multiple cooperation agreements with the United States.

The Emir of Qatar Palace issued a statement on the 14th saying that Qatar and the United States signed a joint statement of government cooperation in the Qatari capital Doha on the same day, as well as bilateral agreements and memorandums of cooperation in the fields of civil aviation and defense. The statement said that the Emir of Qatar, Tamim, met with visiting US President Trump that day, and representatives from both sides signed an agreement and several Memorandums of Understanding at the Emir's Palace, including an agreement for Qatar to purchase aircraft from Boeing Company in the US, as well as an Intent Declaration on defense cooperation between the two countries. Before the signing ceremony, Tamim and Trump held formal talks discussing a range of bilateral and regional issues, particularly investment, energy, as well as military and security cooperation.
