Deputy Minister of Emergency Management Xu Jia'ai met with Carlos, Director of the National Disaster Risk Management Agency of Colombia.

On May 13, Deputy Minister of Emergency Management Xu Jia'ai met with Carlos, Director of the National Disaster Risk Management Agency of Colombia in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on deepening practical cooperation in the field of emergency management. Xu Jia'ai stated that they will focus on promoting comprehensive disaster reduction, monitoring and early warning, risk assessment, disaster prevention, and emergency preparedness in the field of disaster management, and work together to deepen and solidify international cooperation between China and Colombia in natural disaster prevention and emergency management. Carlos expressed his willingness to sign a memorandum of understanding with China at an early date to promote comprehensive development of cooperation between the two sides.
