Hong Kong dollar interest rates all fell, with one-month rates dropping to as low as 1.33%, marking a continuous seven-day decrease.

According to the Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, the Hong Kong dollar exchange rate has been continuously weakening recently. On May 14th, it finally fell below the strong-weak boundary of 7.8, temporarily hitting a low of 7.8112 against the US dollar, the weakest since August 2nd of last year. The latest rate is now at 7.8104, still 0.17% lower than the previous day's closing price. Hong Kong Interbank Offered Rate (HIBOR) has also dropped across the board, with the one-month rate related to property mortgage loans falling by another 24 basis points to 1.32976% today, hitting a new low since August 3rd, 2022, and dropping for the seventh consecutive day.
