Swiss Federal President Keller-Zutter and Vice President Parmelin meet with He Lifeng.

On May 9th, local time, Swiss Federal President Keller-Zutter and Vice President Parmelin met with Vice Premier of the State Council He Lifeng in Geneva. He Lifeng stated that in the 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, the relationship between the two countries has become increasingly mature and stable, with continuous enhancement of economic complementarity and fruitful trade and investment results. In the current complex and severe international situation, China and Switzerland should strengthen communication, build consensus, join hands to address challenges, jointly uphold free trade and open markets, and expedite substantial progress in the negotiation of upgrading the China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement, in order to contribute to global peace, stability, and economic development prosperity.
