The British government announced on May 9 that the Faraday Future UK Sunderland Superfactory has secured 1 billion in financing, which will be used to provide batteries for up to 100,000 electric vehicles annually, six times more than the current capacity in the UK. The statement mentioned that the UK's National Wealth Fund and UK Export Finance will provide financing guarantees, leading to a total of 680 million in financing from banks such as Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Crdit Lyonnais, and Banco Exterior de Espaa for the construction and operation of the new factory. The remaining 320 million will be obtained through private financing and new equity provided by Faraday Future.
