Ningbo Shipping Exchange: This week, the freight rates on the South America East route have increased significantly, with the freight index rising by 50.6% compared to the previous week.

This week, the Ningbo Export Container Freight Index of the Maritime Silk Road Index released by the Ningbo Shipping Exchange closed at 952.3 points, up 2.4% from last week. Among the 21 routes, 10 routes saw an increase in freight rates, while 11 routes saw a decrease. Among the main ports along the "Maritime Silk Road", 9 ports saw an increase in freight rates, 6 ports saw a decrease, and 1 port remained basically unchanged. There was significant fluctuation in the South America East route market this week: the freight rate level was relatively low, and some shipping companies announced an increase in freight rates for the end of the month, resulting in a large increase in freight rates this week. The freight rate index for the South America East route is 1060.6 points, up 50.6% from last week.
