Indo-Pak tension escalates, Indian rupee depreciates.

Due to the escalating geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan, the Indian Rupee has weakened against the US Dollar during the Asian trading session. India stated that it intercepted missiles and drones launched by Pakistan on Thursday, targeting military facilities on Indian territory, escalating the confrontation between the two nuclear-armed countries. DBS Group research foreign exchange and credit strategist Zhang Weiliang commented, "Considering the relatively large fluctuations of the Indian Rupee, the Indian central bank may have reason to resist excessive depreciation pressure."
