In early Asian trading, U.S. equity futures rose as market sentiment stabilized at the start of a new quarter, following a late-session swing on Wall Street that erased gains triggered by lower-than-expected inflation data. S&P 500 futures gained 0.2%. Earlier, in the final hours of Wednesday's session, the index erased its gains and closed down 0.2%. Micron Technology provided an optimistic earnings outlook but warned that rising compensation costs would weigh on profit margins, and as a result, Asian stocks are expected to open mixed. After global government bonds suffered their worst quarter since 2024, bond yields continued to be a market focus. Oil prices broke above $100, intensifying the threat of stubborn inflation facing the world economy. The U.S. 30-year Treasury yield climbed again, setting a fresh high since 2002. Money markets see less than a 40% probability of a Federal Reserve rate hike in October. In early Asian trading, U.S. crude oil prices edged lower to $90.10 a barrel, holding onto gains from the previous session. Meanwhile, the dollar ended its best month since March.
