Fujian: Advanced structural materials are expanding into high-value areas and high-performance products to meet the demands of aerospace, deep-sea equipment, and other sectors.
Recently, the Fujian Provincial Government issued the "Fujian Province 14th Five-Year Plan for Emerging Industries and Future Industry Development," clearly outlining the promotion of nine major future industries. These efforts are based on Fujian's strategic mineral resource endowment and leverage the leading enterprises' driving capability to cultivate four key tracks: energy and electronic materials, advanced structural materials, advanced chemical materials, and cutting-edge new materials. This initiative aims to promote the development of a complete chain from basic research and pilot verification to large-scale manufacturing and market application in new materials, creating a distinctive and competitive new functional materials industry cluster. Among them, energy and electronic materials will establish a globally influential supply base for key materials in energy electronics, focusing on the demands of new energy and semiconductor industries; advanced structural materials will expand into high-value segments and high-performance products based on the needs of aerospace and deep-sea equipment; advanced chemical materials will concentrate on high-end fine chemicals and new chemical materials, extending basic raw materials into high value-added segments; cutting-edge new materials will drive the industrial application of leading technologies through scenario-based approaches, enhancing capabilities in basic research, concept validation, and pilot production.
