Recently, the Fujian Provincial Government issued the "Fujian Province 14th Five-Year Plan for Emerging Industries and Future Industry Development," which clearly outlines the advancement of nine key future industries. Among these, leveraging Fujian's leading advantages in global lithium battery manufacturing and its high-quality energy resources, the plan focuses on four main tracks: new energy storage, new energy vehicles and their components, offshore wind power, and advanced nuclear energy. It aims to promote collaborative technological research, shared scene development, and integrated ecosystems, establishing a highly coordinated industrial innovation ecology of "source-network-load-storage" and building a world-class new energy industry cluster. In terms of new energy storage, the focus is on lithium-ion battery storage, while also expanding into sodium-ion battery storage, flow battery technology, and compressed air storage, establishing a complete industrial chain that covers key materials, specialized battery cells, system integration, and recycling. For new energy vehicles and their components, the plan seeks to create an integrated ecology of vehicle energy and cloud services, positioning the Southeast region as a manufacturing and export base for new energy vehicles. In offshore wind power, the emphasis is on enhancing the manufacturing and service support capabilities, establishing an operational and maintenance service network covering the entire province. Advanced nuclear energy is set to explore diverse utilization scenarios, such as expanding steam supply, and aims to construct a clean energy system that complements multiple forms of energy, including wind, solar, and nuclear storage.
