The July 2026 bank deposit interest rate report shows: In July 2026, the average interest rate for fixed deposits at banks for a 3-month term was 0.949%, for a 6-month term was 1.152%, for a 1-year term was 1.263%, for a 2-year term was 1.358%, for a 3-year term was 1.683%, and for a 5-year term was 1.560%. Compared to last month, the 3-month term decreased by 0.2 basis points (BP), the 6-month term decreased by 0.1 BP, the 1-year term decreased by 0.2 BP, the 2-year term decreased by 0.4 BP, and the 3-year term decreased by 0.1 BP, while the 5-year term increased by 0.7 BP. The certificate of deposit (CD) rates displayed a similar trend. According to monitored data, in July 2026, the average interest rate for newly issued large denomination CDs for a 3-month term was 0.977%, for a 6-month term was 1.161%, for a 1-year term was 1.357%, for a 2-year term was 1.371%, for a 3-year term was 1.716%, and for a 5-year term was 1.620%. Compared to last month, the average rates for large denomination CDs across all maturities, except for the 5-year term, decreased: the 3-month term dropped by 10.45 BP, the 6-month term dropped by 9.50 BP, the 1-year term dropped by 6.22 BP, the 2-year term dropped by 7.94 BP, and the 3-year term dropped by 0.59 BP, while the 5-year term increased by 2.00 BP.
