China Power Construction's photovoltaic project in Peru makes its "debut" as it transitions to live debugging.
Recently, the 33 kV first collector line of the 96.9 MW photovoltaic project in Vaira, Peru, successfully transmitted power for the first time. The energized equipment is operating stably, and the project has officially entered the energized debugging phase. Once completed, the project is expected to generate an average annual output of 250 million kilowatt-hours, equivalent to providing approximately 685,000 kilowatt-hours of clean power daily, which can meet the annual electricity demand of about 230,000 households in Peru, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 150,000 tons each year. The project plans to construct seven 33 kV medium-voltage collector circuits, and the remaining circuits will gradually commence power transmission operations and overall joint debugging work in batches. The project will also operate in synergy with the existing Vaira Wind Farm, forming a complementary integrated system with a total installed capacity of over 400 MW, fully leveraging the complementary advantages of local solar and wind resources and further enhancing the stability and sustainability of power supply.
