China Unicom's regional agents' commissions have been cut by 40%.
As operators collectively move to eradicate third-party online SIM card businesses amidst a backdrop of collective efforts to avoid internal competition, the fact that commissions for marketing agents of China Unicom in the Hangzhou region are shrinking is also coming to light. Recently, Zhang Lei, the person in charge of Hangzhou Unicom's marketing agentsWo Zhi Lian Communicationrevealed to the "BUG" column that in June of this year, the commissions for online and direct sales channels in the Hangzhou area, including those from their own stores, were uniformly reduced by over 40%, with an additional 10% deduction for direct sales teams. He bluntly stated that starting today, some discount packages will be taken offline, and the newly launched packages will be priced up to 100% higher. For example, the previous Zhejiang Unicom 300M broadband package priced at 360 yuan per year is now being offered at a new package price of 480 yuan, representing a 33% increase.
