According to Guangxi Daily, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region recently issued a notice to launch a concentrated rectification action across the entire region aimed at the order of real estate transactions, property intermediaries, and the housing rental market. This initiative focuses on the three major areas of real estate development, brokerage services, and housing leasing, targeting industry pain points and blockages that have generated significant complaints from the public, effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of citizens in purchasing and renting homes. In addressing the chaotic situation in the intermediary market, Guangxi will require real estate brokerage agencies to strictly implement transparent pricing systems, enhance monitoring of fees charged by leading real estate brokerage firms, and guide them to reasonably lower service fees. The focus will also be on verifying whether companies are engaged in illegal practices such as improper financial kickbacks, channel fees, misappropriation of real estate transaction funds, or using improper means like concealment, fraud, coercion, or bribery to solicit business, deceive consumers, or impose forced transactions. Illegal activities such as operating "black intermediaries" and infringing on individuals' personal information rights will be investigated and dealt with according to the law, with typical cases being publicly exposed to continuously regulate intermediary service behavior.
