Sharp has lowered its full-year operating profit forecast to 30 billion yen.

On August 7, Sharp announced an operating profit of 8.21 billion yen for the first quarter, compared to an estimate of 6.6 billion yen; a net profit of 3.12 billion yen, against an estimate of 4.43 billion yen; and it expects an annual operating profit of 30.0 billion yen, previously estimated at 49.0 billion yen and now estimated at 44.12 billion yen; it anticipates an annual net profit of 25.0 billion yen, down from a previous estimate of 42.0 billion yen and now estimated at 38.93 billion yen.
