Overall, the claims payout rate for consumers is relatively high, with a significant portion of payouts coming from critical illness insurance; however, some insurance companies have reported that their medical insurance payouts have already surpassed those of critical illness insurance. At the same time, there remains a notable gap in critical illness coverage. Experts interviewed believe that to address this gap in critical illness protection, insurance companies need to continuously improve their product design and operations.
