According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the Passenger Car Market Association, stated that the overall performance of the new energy vehicle market is weak in June 2026. The sales of plug-in hybrid models are continuing to decline, while conventional hybrid models have experienced countercyclical growth, becoming the core highlight of the segmented market. Regionally, traditional fuel vehicles still maintain high market demand in the central and western regions as well as the northern areas, with fuel vehicle market share remaining around 50%. In contrast, in the eastern plain areas, southern provinces and cities, and first-tier developed cities, the market share of new energy vehicles has exceeded 60%, with significant regional differentiation in energy structure.
