Chinese airlines such as Air China announced on July 3 that the fuel surcharge for domestic flights in mainland China will be reduced starting from 0:00 on July 5. The new standards for the reduced surcharge are as follows: 50 yuan per leg for flights under 800 kilometers, and 100 yuan per leg for flights over 800 kilometers. Infants will be exempt from the fuel surcharge, while children, revolutionary disabled soldiers, and disabled police officers on duty will only be charged half of the fuel surcharge. It is reported that compared to the current fuel surcharge standards, the surcharge for flights under 800 kilometers will be reduced by 30 yuan, and flights over 800 kilometers will be reduced by 50 yuan.
