On July 3rd, South Korean Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Gu Runchao announced the promotion of major companies to invest more than 312 trillion Korean won in the southeast to develop advanced manufacturing and AI industries. In the specific plan, SK Group, Samsung, Hanwha, and Hyundai Motor will each inject approximately 140 trillion, 60 trillion, 55 trillion, and 42 trillion Korean won, focusing on the semiconductor, AI, and aerospace industries; LG and Doosan will also follow up with investments. In addition, South Korea also announced a national aerospace strategy centered on Sacheon to develop a maritime aerospace industry belt in the south.
