Berlin high temperature approaching 40 degrees, why is Germany having difficulties installing air conditioning?
During the past weekend, the highest temperature in the German capital Berlin nearly reached 40 degrees Celsius. Many residents, when interviewed by reporters from a major TV station, stated that they do not have air conditioning at home and can only face the high indoor temperatures. The reporters visited three large appliance stores in Berlin and received similar responses: air conditioners and fans are all sold out. For many German households without air conditioning, electric fans and portable air conditioners have become the most direct emergency choice when facing high temperatures. However, installing a split-type fixed air conditioner commonly seen in China is not easy in Germany. Many Germans live in rental homes and cannot easily alter the structure of the property. Installing a split-type fixed air conditioner involves drilling holes in the exterior walls, installing the exterior unit, addressing issues such as operational noise and heat dissipation, and usually requires approval from the landlord and the owners' organization of the building.
