Several projects start construction at Shenzhen Airport

According to Shenzhen News, today, multiple projects including the main construction of the T2 terminal area, the flight area, and the land preparation for the T1 terminal building at Shenzhen Airport have started, marking the beginning of a new phase of airport expansion and upgrade. Yao Yuandong, Deputy Director of the T2 Project Department of Shenzhen Airport Construction Command, introduced that after the completion of the foundation engineering, Shenzhen Airport will fully form a layout with three runways, three terminal areas, three cargo areas, and one satellite hall operating in synergy, fully supporting the long-term development goal of 98 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo volume, and the hub capacity will be further improved.
