After two strong earthquakes in Venezuela, on June 26th local time, the country's Minister of People's Power for Oil and Mining, Tareck El Aissami, stated that oil production was not affected by the earthquakes. El Aissami said in an interview with the media that Venezuela's current daily crude oil production is 1.2 million barrels, and the government has assessed the situation of domestic inventories, ensuring domestic natural gas and fuel supply. "We are operating normally, all oil wells are running and producing." According to feedback from management and oilfield workers in Venezuela, oil and gas facilities have not been severely affected. Earlier reports indicated that a preliminary assessment showed that large oil and gas facilities in Venezuela were minimally damaged in the strong earthquakes, as they were far from the cities affected by the seismic waves. However, the shortage of electricity may affect oil production capacity.
