Midday Report: The ChiNext Index fell more than 2% in the first half of the day, with the non-ferrous metals and PCB industry chains leading the decline.
In the early session, the three major indexes collectively fell. As of noon, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.37%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 1.83%, and the Growth Enterprise Index fell by 2.27%. The BeiZ50 rose by 1.3% and the ChiNext 50 Index fell by 0.42%. The total market turnover was 2.3359 trillion yuan, with a decrease of 185.3 billion yuan from the previous day, and over 3300 stocks in the entire market rose.
In terms of sector themes, biomedicine, pork, securities, real estate, port shipping, and epoxy propane sectors led the gains; precious metals, minor metals, industrial metals, PCB concepts, components, CPO, and battery sectors were also at the forefront of gains.
In terms of market conditions, pharmaceutical stocks such as innovative drugs and CROs soared in the early session, with more than 10 stocks including Xinhua Pharma, Asia Pacific Pharma, and Tianjin Pharma hitting the daily limit. The securities sector maintained its strong performance today after a sharp rise yesterday, with Changjiang Securities and Huaan Securities both hitting the limit up. Institutions indicated that the recent Lujiazui Forum released multiple favorable policies for the capital market. Additionally, the real estate, chemical, and port shipping sectors showed positive performance.
On the other hand, the non-ferrous metals sector experienced a significant pullback after yesterday's gains, with Shenglong shares, Huahong Technology, and Tongling Nonferrous hitting limit down, while Zhaojin Gold, Xingye Silver Tin, and Hunan Gold followed suit with large declines. The PCB industry chain saw a correction, with Guanghua Technology, Shengquan Group, and Nord Shares hitting limit down, and DeFu Technology, Nanya New Materials, and Tongguan Copper Foil falling by over 10%.
