CATL releases the world's first verified sodium-ion energy storage station solution.

On June 22, CATL released the world's first sodium-ion energy storage solution for station-level applications, introducing the demonstration sodium-ion energy storage system known as TIANHENG Sodium-ion. The sodium-ion energy storage system can reach an energy capacity of over 30 MWh per unit, adopting a fully modularized design concept with separate energy and power modules. In terms of delivery schedule, CATL stated that the first batch of sodium-ion energy storage systems will be officially delivered to customers in the Chinese market in September this year, with a target of achieving 1 GWh in annual shipments by the end of 2026. Global market deliveries will begin in June next year.
