Four meteorological stations in China were selected as World Meteorological Organization Centennial Weather Stations.

From June 22nd to 26th, the 80th session of the World Meteorological Organization Executive Council was held in Geneva, Switzerland. The recognition of centennial meteorological stations was included in the meeting agenda. Four meteorological stations in Guiyang, Guizhou, Tanggu, Tianjin, Tengchong, Yunnan, and Yueyang, Hunan were selected to be included in the new batch of WMO centennial meteorological station recognition list. With this, China now has a total of 22 meteorological stations certified as WMO centennial meteorological stations.
