China and representatives of five Central Asian countries are discussing desertification prevention and control.

On June 15, on the occasion of the 32nd World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, the China-Central Asia High-Level Meeting on Desertification Control Cooperation and the High-Level Officials and Liaison Officers Training Workshop opened in Yinchuan, Ningxia. More than a hundred representatives from government departments, universities, and enterprises from China and Central Asian countries gathered together to deeply discuss and learn from each other about topics such as technological innovation cooperation, building cross-border governance models, and collaborative development of the desert industry. They jointly planned the cooperation path for regional desertification control.
