Eli Lilly (LLY.N) announced the trial results of its new generation weight-loss drug, Retatrutide, to medical experts on Saturday. The results showed that besides promoting weight loss and relieving knee joint pain, the drug also reduces the severity of sleep apnea. In a phase III clinical trial, Eli Lilly found that weekly injection of Retatrutide can reduce moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea symptoms in obese adults by 60.6%. In the same trial, the company also found that the drug can reduce knee joint osteoarthritis pain by up to 73.1%.
