Data shows that in the first week of June, individual investors in South Korea net sold over 1 trillion Korean won worth of overseas stocks. Driven by the semiconductor sector, the domestic stock market in South Korea reached a new high, prompting retail funds to potentially flow back into the domestic market. Data from the South Korean securities depository settlement institution shows that from Monday to Friday this week, individual investors in South Korea net sold overseas stocks worth 793.67 million US dollars. Since April, retail investors have been continuously reducing their holdings of overseas assets.
