CPUs, which were once overshadowed by GPUs, are now returning to the center stage of AI computing power. On June 1st, NVIDIA's founder and CEO Huang Renxun announced at the GTC conference that their first independent data center CPU Vera has officially entered mass production and will be put into production in the third quarter of this year. In late May, AMD also announced that their next generation EPYC data center CPU "Venice" has entered mass production. Domestic CPU manufacturers are also making continuous moves, with Loongson launching a 2.3 billion yuan private placement plan on May 28, with 485 million yuan invested in CPU core technology research and development projects. Yuan Shuai, deputy secretary-general of the Zhongguancun Internet of Things Industry Alliance, said in an interview with Securities Times reporters that the arrival of the Agentic AI era is redefining the demand structure for computing power. With the explosive demand for CPU industry and the deepening trend of autonomy and controllability, domestic CPU manufacturers are expected to usher in opportunities for scale substitution and reevaluation of their industrial position.
