The National Medical Products Administration released the latest data today, showing that by 2025, China has approved 138 children's medicines, reaching a record high. This is also the fifth consecutive year of growth in the approval of new drugs for children in China. In recent years, with the accelerated implementation of various national incentive policies, the longstanding dilemma of "limited variety, insufficient specifications, and inadequate dosage forms" for children's medicines is gradually being resolved, and the phenomenon of "guessing the dosage and adjusting the medication" for children's medicines will accelerate becoming history. In recent years, the number of approved children's medicines in China has been increasing year by year, with 47 approved in 2021, 66 in 2022, 92 in 2023, 106 in 2024, and 138 in 2025. In the past five years, a total of 449 children's medicines have been approved in China.
